Biography

Andy is the Procurement Director at Heathrow airport, accountable for the operational and capital supply chain and delivery of the Heathrow 2.0 sustainability strategy to transform the Heathrow for a sustainable future.  As well as delivering carbon neutral airport operation, Heathrow’s strategy covers paying all of its colleagues and suppliers the London Living Wage by the end of 2020.

Prior to this he was Network Rail’s Procurement Director, driving a service oriented function to support eight national operating businesses.

Andy has also spent 20 years in infrastructure delivery, initially at Thames Water and latterly at Network Rail.  He was Finance & Commercial Director for Western Route programmes including Reading Station, Crossrail on network works and Great Western Route Modernisation.  During this time Andy spent three years as a Bristol based project director lowering track, upgrading signalling and demolishing bridges in historically significant locations.

Andy is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics, a Fellow of CIPS and has an MBA from Henley.
